of mitt romney and paul ryan. >> sean: we are just 25 days from the election. "hannity" starts right here, right now. tonight, the former vice-president of the united states, dick cheney is giving us his exclusive reaction to the debate. first, a recap of the faceoff between crazy uncle joe biden and congressman paul ryan. without question, the headline was biden's downright bizarre, strange, bewildering behavior. for nearly 90 minutes he was either uncontrollably laughing or rudely interrupting his opponent. not even the benghazi terror attack or the nuclear weapons program were enough to prevent these bizarre outbursts. >> it is never too early to speak out for our values. they keep misquoting him. but let me tell you about the mitt romney i know. don't raise taxes on small businesses because they are our job creators. >> vice-president biden. >> incredible. >> look, you both saw benjamin netanyahu hold up that picture of a bomb with the red line i. thank heavens we have the sanctions in place. it is in spite of their opposition. they have given 20 waivers to this sanction. all i have t

the agenda of the romney/ryan ticket. take a look at what happened when a reporter attempted to do that with paul ryan. >> the best thing to help prevent violent crime in the inner cities is to bring opportunity and get people out of poverty in the inner cities and teach good discipline, good character. that is a civil society. that's what charities and civic groups and churches do to help make sure they realize the value in one another. >> you do that by cutting taxes? >> those are your wards, not mine. >> thank you very much, sir. >> that was strange. >> sean: that is some of the distortion that ryan will face off with joe if the-in-his-mouth debate here on the fox newschannel. here with the reaction to the left spin, the co-host of "the five," dana perino and stuart varny, welcome both of you. >> thank you, sean. >> sean: six consecutive days, he has been prepping. the hill reports they are watching videos of ryan's speeches and ryan interviews -- the purpose is what? because they're afraid he will make a mistake? or they are preparing the zingers to attack romney/ryan. >> a cou

to mitt romney's and paul ryan's budget plan, it would cost $2,000 to pay for tax breaks for millionaires and billionaires, it turns medicare into a voucher system. that's one thing that mitt romney was honest about. he said that we should cut medicare benefits. embrace that and proposed it. and then to add insult to injury said, yeah, we won't be able to have medicare to continue to be a guarantee, we will have to shred that safety net to preserve it. barack obama's plan has proven we can add years of solvency, 8 years by making sure we reduce wasteful subsidies to medicare insurance companies and add years of solvency. we need to work together to continue to move forward, not have republicans rooting for failure and really transparently being disappointed that we have made progress. we have a ways to go, but we need to continue to move forward and fight for the middle class, not for the people who are doing really, really well and make sure they can do even better. >> shannon: you brought up obamacare. and medicare, but that's a plan, which outside independent bodies and fact-checking o

to out the. the facts are on ryan's side. ryan will do what romney did. ryan is a naturally likable guy. he is young, so visual of young paul ryan next to washington fixer joe biden is a disadvantage that biden has. he will do what romney did and hammer him on the facts and in a respectful way. i think biden, the gaffe is going to be not being able to explain failures of the last four years. >> greg: bob, i will secure you this question. is there such a thing about becoming overly prepared? i ask you because we never worry about that with you. >> bob: it's vastly overrated. >> greg: do you they overly prepared joe biden? >> bob: kimberly is already at the beer truck. if she is that excited to be in danville, kentucky. >> dana: i love kentucky. >> bob: i bet you do. >> greg: danville has a great bakery there. it's called -- hold on a second. it's called the twisted siste sister. >> bob: biden will go in there with the idea of exposing ryan, ryan to get to romney. y'all keep saying it doesn't matter, it doesn't matter. they don't have a program that's viable. joe will take them to the woo

believe this is huge opportunity for romney-ryan, why? >> it is. romney set the stage for the dominant victory over the president in the first presidential debate. that changed the story of the whole campaign. if you have ryan defeating the vice president joe biden it would really create a story of obama-biden on the ropes. and, romney-ryan on the move. bill: the way mike murphy explains it, republican strategist on "meet the press" sunday morning, democrats could be desperate. do you agree with that? >> they're certainly very worried. the degree of concern they had over the president's performance in denver is much deeper than we even thought. they're very, very worried about that. they're looking for joe biden to come out and deliver a lot of zingers and attack lines that barack obama didn't. this is the second chance in the presidential debate. there is not another actual presidential debate until october 16th. bill: listen how paul ryan explains how he sees vice president joe biden. >> he is fast on the cuff. he is a witty guy. he knows who he is and been doing this for 40 years. s

the spokesman for romney against the spokesman for obama. paul ryan is a uniquely articulate person with a uniquely profound understanding of what's going on in this country. i believe he's going to run rings around biden. i think that he will effectively close the case for romney. everybody's talking about how badly obama did in the debate. i'm talking about how great romney did. i think he explained his positions. he explained why taxing the rich won't work, because it's taxing the small businesses that create jobs. he's talked about the medicare issue. i think that this was a big win for romney. i think ryan will hammer it home. >> sean: they're going to sequester for six days biden? he can't come out in public? they're going to try to force his brain full of information? i just don't see that working. >> well, sean, maybe they take him off the trail for six days so he doesn't mess it up. >> sean: well, maybe mess it up -- >> there was no debate, they should still sequester him for six days. >> sean: probably for the rest of the campaign. you know, i want to go to your book for o

and get congressman ryan to commit to positions that may be antithetical opposite to what mitt romney is saying? is he going to try to paint romney with what ryan says at this debate, on medicare, medicaid and on issues like at that? >> absolutely. what he's-- what i'm sure he'll say as well. now romney is talking a moderate game and let's look what you proposed two years ago or four years ago, for instance, ryan's plan, he also took 716 billion dollars out of medicare, and one of the main attack points na romney is making against obama and romney would put that 716 billion dollars back. but, you can be sure that biden is going to say, well in your own budget you were taking the 716 out. so he's going to try to paint, you're exactly right, peter, paint romney with some of ryan's positions not to say they were extreme, but more conservative and more hide line. >> chris, tell us what's coming up on your show today. >> we will have our own debate, alisyn. we are going to have two interesting figures, martin o'mally the governor of maryland and a lot of people think win or lose for obama,

be down to only 5 ballots. romney campaign spokesman ryan williams says that's insensitive and outrageous. he says one missed ballot is too many. in response to the criticism this is the romney campaign jumping on a small number of ballots and trying to endear themselves to soldiers. romney says every soldier airman mavy and marine deserves to have their ballot counted. megyn: mike tobin, thank you. there is a growing debate over a recent speech from the chief foreign affairs course cents from cbs news. laura logan has reported from some of the most dangerous places in the world. she stunned a chicago crowd with her stark assessment of america's place in the world and the real story as she sees it with the war in afghanistan and the consulate attack in libya. saying in part, quote, there is a narrative coming out of washington. they are just a poor moderate gentler kinder taliban. it's such nonsense. on libya she says, quote, exact revenge and let the world know the united states will not be attacked on its own soil. its ambassadors will not be murdered and the united states will not stan

elections. remember governor romney's vice-presidental nominee paul ryan is of course a native of wisconsin. so is he a factor there? we'll take a look at some of the latest polls and maybe you can make up your own mind on that. in wisconsin the unemployment rate is just below the national average and it's in line with what we see for gas prices across the country. not in california but across the country. the number of visits for the president and mr. romney equal there in wisconsin both have visited twice. statistics, teny electorial votes from the state of wisconsin. the the state governor scott walker you know that name well. we'll talk about that factor, the factor of a republican governor with our next guest in just a moment. also as far as polling, though, this is the latest "real clear politics" average, the president pulling away a little bit from mitt romney. not as much as before in the last couple of weeks but up by six points in the state of wisconsin. joining us now craig gilbert the washington bureau chief and national political reporter for the milwaukee "centennial." you've
